Stroudsburg Area School District Scholarships
Future Medical Professionals of Stroudsburg

The scholarships will be awarded to three Stroudsburg High School seniors with outstanding academic performance choosing to pursue a career in healthcare.

First place = $2,225, Second place = $1,500, and Third place = $775

Applications must be received by March 28, 2024

Requirements

All applicants must be:

Accepted to an accredited school with a declared major intended to qualify the student for a healthcare career. Provide acceptance letter with application.
Hold a minimum 3.0 or higher GPA (on a 4.0 scale.)
A senior graduate at Stroudsburg High School in good stand in the spring semester of the current year.
Submit evidence of current academic standing with the application.
Submit two (2) recommendations from Stroudsburg Area School District teachers.
Submit a one-page personal statement.

Selection Process

Applications must be received by March 28, 2024.
The LVHN-Pocono Foundation Scholarship Committee will announce the winners by May 3rd.
The selected students will receive their award in the form of a business check.
Scholarship recipients are asked to submit a letter of appreciation to the scholarship sponsors.
Scholarship recipients are required to attend the Annual Pocono Foundation Grant & Scholarship Ceremony on May 16, 2024 at the Dale and Frances Hughes Cancer Center on the LVH-Pocono Campus.
All qualifying students who are on the scholarship selection committee or involved in the creation of the scholarship may not apply for the scholarship.
